I have
been a professional photographer since 1990. I began quite literally
by being at the right place at the right time. Through my work at
Blair House, the President’s Guest House, I had the opportunity to
photograph interesting people from time to time. This grew into a
free-lance career in event and wedding photography and after 9
years, I left to photograph full time. I have taken many courses in
both film and digital photography over the years and several
specialized photography workshops in Maine and Sante Fe.
In addition to the Washington Metropolitan area, my wedding
photography has taken me to Mexico City, San Francisco, Nantucket,
Palm Beach, Cape May, and New York. I love the opportunity to share
in a bride’s special day and all that it entails. I work in the
photo-journalistic style and remain in the background to capture the
atmosphere and the pure joy of the wedding and reception. I also
have covered family gatherings, birthdays and reunions.
I have established a strong event business over the past 14 years.
My clients include The Washington National Opera, The National
Gallery, The Phillips Collection, Choral Arts Society of Washington,
the British and Swedish Embassies and the Library of Congress. I
recently accompanied a group through Europe for 11 days with the
Library of Congress to record their travels.
